The TMS Entertainment website ( image from there ) has indicated that the new series of Saint Seiya OVA will have 13 episodes of 30min.

It seems this might get more development then I originally thought when I saw the scan of Tenma in his god cloth.

anyway , here is the summary they provide :

When the painting overtakes the sky, the world will come to an end.
A Holy War, from ancient mythology, where the Goddess Athena and Hades have fought against each other while defending the earth repeatedly over the span of 200 years. The story takes place in 18th century Europe, 243 years prior to the original “Saint Seiya.” Three small children, Tenma, Alone, and Sasha have all shared a very happy childhood together. Tenma who is quite aggressive but upstanding has moved to Sanctuary to become a saint. It is there that he is reunited with Sasha who is the sister of Alone and leans that she is the reincarnation of Goddess Athena. Alone who is kind, gentle and loves painting was chosen for the body of enemy King Hades. Tenma eventually becomes a saint of Pegasus and engages in a fierce battle with his best friend Alone, the King of Hades. Pegasus Tenma, King Hades, and the Goddess Athena and through the twist of their 3 fates merge together which unfolds a prologue to the original “Saint Seiya.

I have to say that I’m slightly bothered by the “prologue to the original “Saint Seiya”” part  , but as I mentioned elsewhere , It hasn’t really been précised witch of Lost Canvas and Next Dimension is canon. But then again both could be linked together , somehow , making both canon. We can only speculate at that point , and see how it turns out.

After his Heroic death against Thanatos , Cancer Manigoldo makes one last appearance before his friend Aries Shion .

It’s with a smile on his face that he passes the Pope’s helmet to Shion for him to give it to his Master . A parting gift from Manigoldo’s old master. He then leaves saying ” we’re leaving you the rest.”

On his side , while in Hades forest , The Capricorn Saint : El Cid , who felt Manigoldo’s cosmos disappear decide to be the next to take action .

He is then attacked by few spectres that he eliminates fast enough ,

He use an attack with his arm-sword technique that is quite obviously Excalibur ancestor , as he claims it is not complete yet.

However , He is then attacked by 3 of the four sons of Hypnos , the gods of dreams : the Oneiroi .

the chapter ends as El cid Engages Phantasos the Mimic , but his attack is in vain and he loses his arm and sword.

Yes ! finally , the Saint of the Cancer appears .

While fighting Veronica of the Celestial Investigation Star , Tenma’s  Pegasus Ryūsei Ken proves to be useless , and when he is about to face certain death he is saved by Yato and Yuzuriha , but then they get Resident Evil’ed by Veronica and once again , they all face certain death .

until they are saved …..

by none-other than Manigoldo .

That’s right , The Cancer is back ! yeah ! Now , please show us something else than ‘Sekishiki Meikai Ha”  it’s a cool attack and all , but we need something new ! Also , don’t be a Deathmask and kick some butt , even though you are going to die along with the rest of the saints.

In order to defeated the Sylph , Asmita used an attack ( i can’t read the name ) that lead him to his own death .

That’s two down , eight more to go wi…  Go specter ! Go Hades

Asmita departure marks the second Gold saint death , and leaves only ten remaining . Since Dhokko and Sion are the only saint that survived this holy war that means , eight gold saint will die , along with all the Bronze and Silver saint .

I suppose Tenma will die facing Aaron(/Alone ) while protecting Sasha , probably the same way Seiya died protecting Saori , a.k.a getting impaled by Hades sword . I expect a lot of massacre to ensue in the next chapters . ^^

Oh yea…i still don’t recognize “Tenkai Hen”..and i NEVER WILL ! Seiya is dead !!!! not in wheelchair ! >_>

Edit : I guess I recognize it now since Kurumada has indeed planned on making a sequel , of the Zeus chapter even.
