#10 「蜜の夜明け」(Mitsu no Yoake) by 新居昭乃(Arai Akino), Spice and wolf II opening.

lovely song by Arai Akino which I love ever since I heard her in Zegapain, this song has the same vibe from the zegapain opening, making it an instant love for me.

#09 「Arrival of Tears」 by 彩音 (Ayane), 11eyes opening.

Ayane whom I’ve heard in the Ayakashi anime opening returns with this opening from 11eyes opening. I love the weird style of it, sorta. I was also attracted to the lovely melody we hear at some point in the long version, which reminds a bit of Tenmon’s composition.

#08 「Falling Down」 by Oasis , Higashi no eden opening.

And the surprise of the year, Higashi no Eden strike with a song in Shakespeare language performed by non other than Oasis. With a great song and currious animation, falling down takes the 8th place.

What’s this ? you hate Ali Project ? well too bad, I love them, and this song is definitely one of my favorite from AP. A perfectly fitting song for the whackery and enjoyment that is Tatakau Shisho.

#06 「Free and Dream」 by Suara, Tears to Tiara opening.

Aah, good ol’ lovely Suara. A perfectly right choice after the greatest that was her songs for Utawarerumono, Suara delivers a great song for Tears to Tiara. A song I unjustly almost shunned at first for not being Musou Uta, It rightefully took back its place in my heart after carefully listening to how good it was.

#05 「JAP」 by Abingdon Boys School, Sengoku Basara opening.

Abingdon delivers again. not much to say here, just pure Abingdon win. Along with whacky dance animation, simply win.

Now I know I’m probably going to be burned by some for not putting it to the first place. And I have to admit It was a great debate inside my head, but despite how much I love the epicness that is this song I could only place it 4th before the place that holds the 3 first in my heart.

#03 「ツキアカリのミチシルベ」(Tsukiakari no Michishirube) by ステレオポニー (Stereopony), Darker than black 2 opening.

"Sure sounds generic jpop" said one of my friend. Well yeah it’s true, it is "generic jpop"  but eh, I like that. Stereopony is band that is growing in my heart ever since their debut. There might be a bit of bias because of the whole " fuck yeah , dtb2" but otherwise, I really really like Stereopony , so thar.

#02 「オルタナティヴ」(Alternative) by angela, Asura Cryin’2 opening.

oh angela, you magnificent angela. You delivered one of your most epic song right thar. And this would definitely be my favourite if I didn’t love fafner O’ so much.  A great song for a great rebound of anime. Almost made it to top 1, but…

And this is now what I believe is the win of the year. Don’t burn me yet. Yeah , sure Kanjite Knight was EPIC to the max, but it didn’t give me the pump up i get when I listen to Shugoshin-The guardian. Shugoshin-The guardian is that Jam Project song that reminds me the most of what may very well be my favourite anime opening of all time , Soldier Dreams. The pump up I get when listening to both song is incomparable to any kind of level. Yeah I say " FUCK YEAH" whenever Kanjite Knight plays, but whenever Shugoshin-The guardian plays, I get transported into my own world and I destroy my vocal cord while singing along with it. That’s why It’s #01 of 2009 in my heart. That is all, you can now commence the torching =/

#10 「espacio」 by Ceui, Sora wo Kakeru Shoujo 2nd ending.

Classic Ceui, lovely and entrancing song, and while I can’t profess to have heard much of her, every time I do , it’s always something great. This song gave me some good time in 2009.

#09 「Beautiful World -PLANiTb Acoustica Mix-」 by 宇多田ヒカル(Utada Hikaru), Eva 2.0 ending.

Yeah yeah I know. it’s a reprise of the first one. Well I still loved it enough to put it on repeat 123 times ~.

#08 「Break & Peace」 by DUSTZ, sengoku Basara ending.

Magnificent ending song for a fantastic anime. Gives a pumping and yet relaxing feeling, divinity fitting ending song for Basara.

#07 「From Dusk Till Dawn」 by abingdon boys school, Darker than black 2 ending.

What ? Abingdon again ? what can I say, they deliver, always.

#06 「ヤサシイウソ」(Yasashii Uso) and 「愛のツェルニ」(Ai no Zuellni) by Chrome Shelled, respectively Chrome Shelled Regios 1st and 2nd ending.


And here’s where I cheat. Didn’t have the heart to rank one better than the other. I absolutely loved both to no bound. I can’t even say I prefer one to the other. Along with Felli, those both song made Regios one of my most forward to watch weekly show of 2009.

#05 「Weeping alone」 by 結城アイラ(Yuuki Aira), Tears to Tiara ed 2 ending.

A magnificent song for another fantastic anime. The relaxation and sadness evoked by this song makes it rank very high in my heart.

#04 「記憶の森」(Kioku no Mori) by FictionJunction YUUKA, Tsubasa Shunraki ending.

Attention Bias : er not really. Its just a great Kajiura composition. I am weak against anything Kajiura, and while FictionJunction may very well be my least favourite Kajiuara project, this song simply was magnificent..Kajiuara standard-wise.

#03 「涙の種、笑顔の花」(Namida no Tane, Egao no Hana) by 中川翔子(Nakagawa Shouko), Gurren Lagann 2nd movie  ending.

Another one from a movie. The second Gurren Lagann ended with this magnificent song by shokotan. A great and sad song, but for a great and sad ending. Everything fitted just perfectly once again.

#02 「la divina tragedia～魔曲～」 by JIMANG, Umineko no Naku Koro ni ending.

While a bit of a lol song, this one came up to #2, well because I love LOL song, and this one takes itself so seriously, and is very well done at that I couldn’t place it anywhere else.

#01 「君の知らない物語」(Kimi no Shiranai Monogatari) by supercell, Bakemonogatari ending.

I didn’t even need to think 1 sec, The second I heard it , I knew there would be just no way any other ending song this year could top the greatness that is Kimi no Shiranai Monogatari in my heart. This song makes me feel things no other ending song made me feel.
