You seem to think that I was offended by, well, what you’ve explained in the first 2 paras. Athrun fangirl I may be, I’ve tried to assure you in my post that I wasn’t offended (though apparently that failed) that you said Athrun’s a pimp masta. lol. Whatever that means.

Yup, I understand what you meant by not being able to tell who the better seiyuu is, though you do like Hoshi because he’s done the voice acting for many anime you watch. And also about the fact that Hoshi’s voice-acting wasn’t based on just GSD. But you’ve got to admit that the Newtype voting results were highly skewed towards GSD. I’ve _never_ seen GSD appearing in top 5 (Top Anime, looking at more general anime ratings), or even top 50 for goodness’ sake. It even beat Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu and Ouran Host Club. Hence, I don’t believe that GSD wasn’t a main driving factor towards Hoshi’s being the best voted seiyuu.

So, while I remain firm in my opinion that Ishida is the better of the two, by all accounts, you can do the same on the opposite. Let’s just leave it at that.

What triggered my first post was, (though, after typing the entire thing, had quickly been forgotten) just to inform you that in the Best Seiyuu category, the one at #2 is Ishida Akira, the seiyuu of Athrun, because from the sound of

“2. *insert name * : who is that ? O_o..and why isn’t it Sugita Tomokazu at the second place ( why is he at 8th place actually ? ),”

it gave me the impression you didn’t know who he was. So I merely wanted to try to inform you of that. And my runaway hands just continued typing. =P

So many all that^ was formed after seeing so many comparisons between Kira to Athrun in terms of character, combat skills, seiyuu, etc. and _many_ finding Athrun lacking. Even Fukuda, who made the God Kira, seemed to have that mentality. All for fanservice.

One simple example is the uniforms. Back in Seed, when Lacus brought Kira to ZAFT to be gifted with Freedom, she lent Kira the elite red uniform. If one is trying to be as invisible as possible, why wear such a high-ranking uniform where only 10%(was it 10?) of those graduating from military school get into. Wouldn’t Kira be a strange face?

Ahh, and the most recent Kira getting promoted to Supreme Commander and getting to wear the white captain’s uniform.

And how Justice’s Gundam number is always 1 short of Freedom. And how Justice’s joint colour is silver, paling in comparison to Freedom’s gold. And how he messed up AsuCaga’s relationship but left his God couple safe and sweet, even throwing Meyrin and Athrun together. The Meyrin whom Athrun didn’t even knew existed until she saved him. The list goes on, though I shan’t continue.

Maybe all that contributed to the tone I used in the first post. All I want to say is sorry for coming off as sounding offended. None was taken.

As for Akira Ishida being a better Seiyuu then Souichiou Hoshi . This may be true , to be honest , i can’t tell . I just like Hoshi better because he is in most of the anime I’ve seen . I don’t think he got the number one place only because of his voice has kira .

And finally , yes it is a pleasant surprise to see Cagalli at the 4th place ^^

The Best Seiyuu #2 is Ishida Akira, the seiyuu for Athrun Zala from GSD. Personally I think he did a better job than Hoshi Souichirou. Kira didn’t have that emotional lines.

“Athrun Zala : Looks like t3h PIMP Masta good his title stolen by Lelouch , and now he is in 3rd place.” You sound like he was in 1st place in the previous vote. Is it true?? I don’t really like the way u called him a “PIMP Masta,” but that’s something only u can decide and I can’t help it anyway huh?

I didn’t expect Cagalli to get 4th place for the Best Female Character category, but it’s a pleasant surprise.
