Well , it’s all across the web now , the Newtype vote results are out .

So , here is what I have to say about those result .

Warning , the following entry contains Rant , quite possibly Ultimate Spoilers ( for some ), and Things. ( basically something you should not care about ) .

Best Series

  1. Code Geass : Well , I have nothing to complain about . Geass is an awesome series , it deserve it’s place . ( DAMMIT , WHERE’S MY EPISODE 24&25 AT ?! >_> )
  2. Gundam Seed Destiny : “Crap” , “Ripoff ” , ” Joke” are what normally come in my mind when I think about GSD , but that’s beside the point . So , hum..GSD is still has popular has it was two years ago . I guess the Special Edition helped , I mean..Kira in white zaft uniform for like..4 sec . BLARGH !
  3. Suzumiya Haruhi No Yuutsu : Nothing to say or complain about , Show was good . Can’t wait for the R1 DVD .
  4. Ouran Koukou Host Club : Well this one was hell of a great series . Gave me good laugh time , Even my roommate loved it . Kudos . I wish my wallet wasn’t so dry , I still need to get vol 6 and 7 of the manga .
  5. Gintama : nothing to say , awesome show and Manga , keep’ em coming .
  6. Blood+ : This was an awesome show , I’m happy to see it being popular . Many people I know dropped it after the twenty first episodes . I think it deserved more attention .
  7. Bleach : Over hyped methinks , but gotta give credit to the thing being good ( well at least before they started to insert filler crap ).
  8. Rozen Maiden : >_>
  9. *insert name* : Not only I never heard of this movie , but I can’t even read the name .
  10. Soukyou no Fafner ~ Right of Left : What da hell ?! OK it wasn’t bad…but that wasn’t the TV series level . The TV Series seriously owned . I’m even listening to it’s soundtrack as I type .
  11. Higurashi No Naku Koro ni : “you gonna get taken home ” , ” NI~pa ” and “Oyashiro-sama ” made this awesome show . Can’t wait for the second season .
  12. *insert name * : Not only I never heard of this movie , but I can’t even read the name .
  13. Aria the Natural : Saw the first episode of the first series methinks , It wasn’t bad…but it wasn’t good . I guess I need to go pick up the manga ( when I’ll be less broke . ) .
  14. Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo : Never saw it , read a review on ANN , looks somewhat interesting .
  15. Shounen Onmyouji : Too bad the subs are slow , this series could and Should get more fame even thought I did not liked the last episode .
    it was too…sad…Poor Guren :(
  16. D.Gray-man : ~where My filler’s at V.3.0 !~ . They soo need to catch up with the manga . Great Opening and Endings ( meh to JUNE !) .
  17. Mai-Z-Hime : what I have to say is…The manga is better . But it’s not a bad show .
  18. Eureka 7 : wTF ! why the so freakin low position ?! this show freakin Owned ! it deserve more recognition !
  19. Tsubasa Chronicles : well , what to say about Tsubara Fillers Chronicles expect the Chara design for the anime is horrible , too many damn fillers , please go read the manga !
  20. Death Note : WTF ! WTF ! C’mon ! Death note ! It should be Number 2 !!!! what da hell ?!
  21. Fate/Stay night : well , this is what you get when you go by the Fate route instead of doing Unlimited Blade works or Heavens Feel >_> .

Best Male Character

  1. Lelouch Lamperouge : Nothing to say , good job .
  2. Kira Yamato : Well , he is Jesus God .
  3. Athrun Zala : Looks like t3h PIMP Masta good his title stolen by Lelouch , and now he is in 3rd place .
  4. Kyon : A real hero .
  5. Sakata Gintoki : Voice by Kyon Tomokazu Sugita , he is the craziest , weirdest and funniest Modern Samurai ever !
  6. Kururgi Suzaku : This guy needs to die >_>
  7. Hagi : another real hero .
  8. Okita Sōgo : The female version of Kagura , what is not to love about him ?
  9. Toshiro Hitsugaya : I fail to see why this kid is so damn popular >_> . ~ Aizen-Sama !!!!!!!!!!! ~
  10. Kurosaki Ichigo : A really cool teen .
  11. Miyanokōji Mizuho : What ? it was a men ? No wai ! I refuse to acknowledge her a man ! Let me stay in denial dammit !
  12. Asuka Shin : Why da hell is this guy even in the classification ? but then again , I prefer him to some Suzaku guy >_>
  13. Suou Tamaki : Noo..Za King deserved a better place…like…Suzaku’s place …and..Suzaku should have been out of this contest for he deserve to die .
  14. Syaoran Li : Despite that fact that he is an Evil Psycho Clone , he is really cool . The Real Syaoran too is cool .
  15. Yuu Kanda : Thought he was a chick at first . Haven’t really gotten the time to appreciate him . and he died so quickly too ( if he really is dead , that is . ).
  16. Abe no Masahiro : he’s a cool kid . nothing much to say else.
  17. *insert name * : Who da hell is that guy ?..still..I feel he is already better then Suzaku .
  18. Hakuoro : Main character of “Chronicles of the shadow Warrior ” , Part-time God , he was fun and cool . Should get a better position ( Remove the Damn suza-boy ! )
  19. Hijikata Tōshirō : nothing to say , he’s an ok character to me .
  20. TIE : Allen Walker & Yagami Light : They both should have gotten a better place , they really are cool . It’s all Kururugi’s fault !

Best Female Character

  1. Lacus Clyne : pfff , too easy for the wife of Jesus.
  2. Suzumiya Haruhi : don’t forget to pray for your God~Dess.
  3. C.C : Good , She deserves it ^^
  4. Cagalli Yula Athha : erm..wtf ? …well..it’s a surprise for me to see her this popular , not that I have complaints though .
  5. Fujioka Haruhi : Praise the Haruhiist…they get two for the same price name .
  6. Kagura : Nothing to say , expect that I plan to marry her.
  7. Kinomoto Sakura : She was better in CCS , and should have stayed there , In TRC , she pisses me off .
  8. Karen Stadtfeld : nothing to say .
  9. Yuki Nagato : :3
  10. Stellar Lousier : poor thing , she was cute in her own way .
  11. Saber : what is it that everyone like about her ? Rider FTW!!!
  12. Otonashi Saya : Should have gotten a better place , but it’s not that bad .
  13. Ichihara Yūko : The hottest witch I know . The Hottest witch was Robin , but..Yuko is as good .
  14. Kuchiki Rukia : Needs more love and screen time .
  15. *insert name * : Who da hell is she ?
  16. Asahina Mikuru : meh ….meh. I’d probably like’ d her more if she stopped whinnying so much . Her future self it way better as she is more confident and all .
  17. Revy : well , she is a bit too manly for my taste . Now where is my Vol 7 of the manga ? >_>
  18. Aria : well , I can’t comment , I don’t really know her .
  19. Shirley Fenete : nothing to say about her . I wish she’d had more character development . A lot of person seem to wish to see her die soon though .
  20. TIE : Shana , Ryūgū Rena & Suiseiseki : Nothing much to say , expect They need more love ( expect the Desu , she’s fine at this place methinks )

Wait…so..No love for Yakumo ? >_>

Best Seiyuu & Anime Song

Concerning the Seiyuu :

  1. Souhichiro Hoshi : well , he gets to voice Jesus , K1 , and other cool people . It’s not a wonder he got number 1.
  2. *insert name * : who is that ? O_o..and why isn’t it Sugita Tomokazu at the second place ( why is he at 8th place actually ? )
  3. Fukuyama Jun : Great job on Lelouch . we have a rising star .
  4. Hirano Aya : Honestly , I only liked her job as Haruhi , but the truth is I never really listened to her other work , so I can’t really judge .

Concerning the Anime songs

  1. Colors , by Flow : Awesome music , nothing else to say .

  4. Kimi was Boku ni Niteiru : ewwwww , So not my favorite See-Saw song .
  5. Field of hope , by Takana Rie : Such a great song

  7. Rolling Star by Yui : not a bad song , but it’s not Yui’s best one .
  8. Crescendo , by Stella Quinlet : hum…meh .
  9. Vestige , by T.M Revolution: And Jesus descended from Space aboard his Godly Armor and punished the evil Shin Asuka . Good song .
  10. Yuki no Tsubasa , by Redballon : Good song , no complaints.
  11. Innocent Sorrow , by Abingdon Boy School : Should get a better place
  12. Higurashi no Naku Koro ni , by Eiko Shimamiya : Awesome song Fitting it’s Awesome anime .
  13. Color of the Heart : Awesome song , and the animation that came with it was so awesome I could cry tears of joy .

Too much Suzaku though . ( because one is already Way freakin too much ! ) .

    I suppose that is what happen when the Loli becomes an adult and you spent 4 episode in damn training .
    Perhaps she should let out a “ni~pa” , and i can guarantee you she ‘ll make it to the top 10 .
    Also proves that there is not enough love for Mai ;_; .
    I guess i can be Happy , Mai waifu made it to #15 ;_; .
    It’s all Suzaku’s fault !

    The Best Seiyuu #2 is Ishida Akira, the seiyuu for Athrun Zala from GSD. Personally I think he did a better job than Hoshi Souichirou. Kira didn’t have that emotional lines.

I don’t really like the way u called him a “PIMP Masta,” but that’s something only u can decide and I can’t help it anyway huh?

    I didn’t expect Cagalli to get 4th place for the Best Female Character category, but it’s a pleasant surprise.

    well first of all ,sorry if i offended you by calling Athrun the pimp masta . It’s more of an inside joke with my friend and I .
    Also , what i meant by he got his place stolen was that Usually Kira would be number one and he would be number two , but as Lelouch stole the number one place , Kira got number two and thus athrun went to number 3 ( hence why i say lelouch stole his place . ) .

    As for Akira Ishida being a better Seiyuu then Souichiou Hoshi . This may be true , to be honest , i can’t tell . I just like Hoshi better because he is in most of the anime I’ve seen . I don’t think he got the number one place only because of his voice has kira .

    And finally , yes it is a pleasant surprise to see Cagalli at the 4th place ^^

    You seem to think that I was offended by, well, what you’ve explained in the first 2 paras. Athrun fangirl I may be, I’ve tried to assure you in my post that I wasn’t offended (though apparently that failed) that you said Athrun’s a pimp masta. lol. Whatever that means.

    Yup, I understand what you meant by not being able to tell who the better seiyuu is, though you do like Hoshi because he’s done the voice acting for many anime you watch. And also about the fact that Hoshi’s voice-acting wasn’t based on just GSD. But you’ve got to admit that the Newtype voting results were highly skewed towards GSD. I’ve _never_ seen GSD appearing in top 5 (Top Anime, looking at more general anime ratings), or even top 50 for goodness’ sake. It even beat Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu and Ouran Host Club. Hence, I don’t believe that GSD wasn’t a main driving factor towards Hoshi’s being the best voted seiyuu.

    So, while I remain firm in my opinion that Ishida is the better of the two, by all accounts, you can do the same on the opposite. Let’s just leave it at that.

    What triggered my first post was, (though, after typing the entire thing, had quickly been forgotten) just to inform you that in the Best Seiyuu category, the one at #2 is Ishida Akira, the seiyuu of Athrun, because from the sound of

    it gave me the impression you didn’t know who he was. So I merely wanted to try to inform you of that. And my runaway hands just continued typing. =P

    So many all that^ was formed after seeing so many comparisons between Kira to Athrun in terms of character, combat skills, seiyuu, etc. and _many_ finding Athrun lacking. Even Fukuda, who made the God Kira, seemed to have that mentality. All for fanservice.

    One simple example is the uniforms. Back in Seed, when Lacus brought Kira to ZAFT to be gifted with Freedom, she lent Kira the elite red uniform. If one is trying to be as invisible as possible, why wear such a high-ranking uniform where only 10%(was it 10?) of those graduating from military school get into. Wouldn’t Kira be a strange face?

    Ahh, and the most recent Kira getting promoted to Supreme Commander and getting to wear the white captain’s uniform.

    And how Justice’s Gundam number is always 1 short of Freedom. And how Justice’s joint colour is silver, paling in comparison to Freedom’s gold. And how he messed up AsuCaga’s relationship but left his God couple safe and sweet, even throwing Meyrin and Athrun together. The Meyrin whom Athrun didn’t even knew existed until she saved him. The list goes on, though I shan’t continue.

    Maybe all that contributed to the tone I used in the first post. All I want to say is sorry for coming off as sounding offended. None was taken.
